Woodland Holdings公司（美国田纳西州诺克斯维尔）2月21日宣布，它已经向特拉华州的国务卿提交了一份修正案，要求将该公司的名称改为4M碳纤维公司。更名计划将在特拉华州国务卿接受修改方案后生效。

该公司还宣布，将把采用等离子氧化技术制造和销售高质量、低成本碳纤维作为战略重点，而不只是许可该技术。

4M公司声称，与传统氧化技术相比，等离子氧化技术速度快3倍，而使用能量却不到传统技术的三分之一。而且这些声明已经得到了许多家国际碳纤维生产商的验证，该公司正在与多家世界上最大的碳纤维制造商和汽车制造商进行磋商，以作为生产低成本碳纤维的发起方参与进来。
