   For the k-ε two-layer model that is to overcome limitation of the k-ε model less reliable near the wall,the 1-equation model is applied for the zone with low turbulence number near the wall, and it requires L input. midas NFX-CFD directly calculates the dissipation rate ε in the low turbulence Reynolds number zone by using the equation as follows.

  The k-ε two-layer model needs fine mesh at the boundary layer it should not apply assumptions related to law of the wall.
